Sexual Reproductive Health Rights
Sexual Reproductive Health, or SRH, encompasses the physical, mental and social aspects of women’s reproductive health. On an international level, SRH was established as a Human Right in 1994 when the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) passed the Programme of Action known as the Cairo Programme of Action, also referred to as ICPD Programme of Action (CPA). This document is referred to as one of the best examples of human rights discourse that recognizes women’s rights within health.
