On the 24th day of February, 2023, a simple meeting was hosted by Huric-Uganda  at its offices situated at plot 261 Prof Yusuf Lule lane, with a representative from Alliance for Women Advocating for Change, Michael Ssemakula. The meeting was organized by the People’s Health Movement Uganda chapter, a global network of organizations and individuals committed to promoting health and social justice.

Global Health Watch Volume 6

During the meeting, the coordinator of the People’s Health Movement Uganda Denis Joseph Bukenya handed over the Global Health Watch 6 to Michael Ssemakula.

The Global Health Watch 6 is a comprehensive report that provides an analysis of the current state of global health, with a focus on social determinants and the political, economic, and social factors that shape health outcomes.

Michael Ssemakula from the Alliance for Women Advocating for Change spoke about the role of women in advocating for health and social justice, highlighting the critical role that women play in promoting access to healthcare services, especially for vulnerable populations.

The meeting was a great success, providing a platform for networking and collaboration among organizations and individuals committed to promoting health and social justice in Uganda. The People’s Health Movement Uganda continues to work towards its mission of promoting health as a human right and advocating for policies and programs that address the social, economic, and political determinants of health.
